North Eastern Rural Marketing Company Pvt. Ltd (NERM) is a private limited company incorporated in India under companies registration act, 1956 with its registered office in the state of Assam. The registered/corporate office of the company is House No. 3, 1st Floor, Nandanpur path, Survey, Beltola, Guwahati, Assam, India, PIN-7810028. The company has its branch offices in four locations spread across three different states of North-eastern region of India. Its branch offices are located in the state of Assam, Nagaland, Arunchal Pradesh and Manipur in India. 

The company is promoted by four shareholders, all of whom are individuals with back ground of social services with period of experiences ranging from 30 years in the maximum to 5 years in the minimum. The primary objectives of the shareholders is to promote an efficient and effective organisation that is technically and administratively equipped to carry out business as marketers, buyers, sellers, dealers, importers, exporters, wholesalers, retailers, stockists or in collaboration with others the business of horticulture, poultry, dairy farming, agriculture and non-agriculture products including but not limited to candles, clothes, handicrafts and deal in all kinds of dairy milk products, agriculture, food grains, cereals, seeds, plants, flowers, vegetables, fruits, edible oils, spice oils, essential oils, oleoresins, nuts spices, timber, scents, aromatics, fragrances, grass, seeds leaves or any kind of crops, agri inputs like fertilizers micro-nutrients, pesticides fungicides, insecticides, veterinary and livestock feeds, fish feeds and supplements and any other farm products

In addition to this the company also aims to provide, encourage, initiate, organize, conduct and promote training and education, research and development programs farming skills and all other sorts of related programs to facilitate the primary and secondary producers to develop their products and to do all such acts and things necessary for the attainment of the above objects.

Eventually in the long run the company aims to make rural producers of North-eastern region of India its shareholders through appropriate legal mechanisms to ensure and protect their interest. The company aims to make them direct supplier to the market through this mechanism to bypass middle-men channels, eliminate unnecessary cost escalation because of syndicates and to influence market actors in the interest of rural farmers and producers while generating value for consumers and customers. 

The company has already established network and multi-dimensional partnerships with rural producers, farmers, self help groups (SHGs), and federation of SHGs promoted and nurtured by Jirsong Asong, Tezpur Social Service Society, AIDA and Diocesan Social Service Society, social development organisations, located in North-eastern region of India(registered under societies registration act of India). 

 The company has also registered a brand name/trade mark for its packaged products under various lines-Spices, Tea, “AVANI” for Class 30 items (Turmeric Raw a& Dry Form, Turmeric Powder, Ginger Raw & Dry Form, Cardamom Raw and Dry form Chili Raw and Dry Form) and Class 31 items (TEA) under Trade Mark Act-1999 by Trade Mark Bureau of India

The company is in the process of starting international partnership with similar social development organisations in Myanmar to promote mutual interest and rural producers of Myanmar.
